Madison Hughes '15 to Captain USA In Rugby World Cup Sevens

As the USA hosts the Rugby World Cup this upcoming weekend, Madison Hughes '15 will be captaining the home side in their attempt to win their first 7s World Cup. Hughes injured his knee earlier in the year at Sydney 7s and made his return to the Sevens World Series at London 7s during the last leg of the season. Now that he is healthy, Madison will play a key role as the main playmaker for the Eagles.

Hughes got his first start for the USA 7s in the 2014-15 season as a junior at Dartmouth, and the next season he was named the youngest ever US captain as a senior. He is the most recent Dartmouth alum on the list of USA 7s player which includes Al Dekin '87, Kevin Whitcher '99, Alex Magleby '00, and Joe Killefer '06.

There will be an alumni meetup in San Francisco on Saturday between 12 pm and 3 pm at Tres (130 Townsend Street) for tacos and refreshments. If you would like to attend please RSVP as soon as possible to bob.brown@vxcapital.com.
